The importance of writing
Every letter or email of support will count! The Scottish Executive and Highland Council have an obligation to record and acknowledge every letter of support that is submitted to them. Individual letters of support can carry more weight than standard letters. However, each letter will be included in the officer’s report to members and letters will be available for members of the planning committee and members of the public to read.
Letters of support can be as long or as short as you like and can include any of all of the following topics:

Climate change poses a threat to the future of the planet. It could bring water and food shortages to millions of people around the world and put hundreds of thousands of plants and animals under threat of extinction. |

Here in the UK, we are already seeing changes in our weather as floods, storms, droughts and heat waves occur. All could become more frequent and more severe. |
